I have just returned from my first archeological dig visit – so exciting! Four artists from the QuayCrafts group took up the invitation to the Damerham Archeological Project in Hampshire to respond creatively to the work they are doing there. The site may well date back to Neolithic times. We were made so welcome and given full access and information on the amazing work, as well as instruction on how to dig, together with insights into the background work on discovering and logging all the finds. Fascinating stuff!
